This Thanksgiving was a wonderful and blessed time! We spent it quietly, just the five of us (Joel, me, Hannah, Jael, and Auntie Kerri). Joel and I cooked throughout the morning for our afternoon feast. We had herb-rubbed turkey, mashed maple sweet potatoes, cauliflower & peas in a cream cheese sauce, pumpkin-pear bisque with creme fraiche, florentine rolls, stuffing, gravy, and a no-bake pumpkin cheese cake pie for dessert! Everything turned out splendidly and deliciously!!
After dinner we all pitched in and started putting up our Christmas decorations. We got the tree up with it's trimmings, some of the garlands up, the nativity set out and the stockings put up!
All in all it was a wonderful time of giving thanks to the Lord and enjoying time together.
