Christmas and other big moments...

- This Christmas was absolutely fantastic! Joel's mom was out from CA for a visit and got to spend some really wonderful quality time with her best grandchildren. :0) Hannah and Jael both fell in love with her, albeit at different times during her visit...Hannah sooner rather than later and Jael later rather than sooner, lol! And of course the girls' favorite Auntie Kerri shared in the festivities with us all. :0)

Christmas dinner was delish! We had a dijon mustard and peppercorn encrusted roast beef with a horseradish & mushroom tumble topping, tarragon & butter carrots, parmasan garlic rolls, roasted potatoes and mincemeat pie (with homemade whipped cream) and chocolate cheesecake for dessert! Joel got me my dream mixer for Christmas so the cheesecake came together in a snap!

- A week or so before Christmas Hannah girl put a sock and a shoe on all by herself in preparation to go someplace or other. ;0)

- New Years Day in the evening when Hannah was coming downstairs from her nap she fell down the first flight of stairs and has, we know now, broken her left clavicle where it meets the shoulder. She's doing really well now and won't need surgery or a cast for it to heal. She's already showing signs of improvement and increased mobility with her left arm. The poor dear, she really is a champ and my little heroine when it comes to her attitude and perseverance through her pain.

- Wee Jael is now 9 months old and has just gotten her first tooth, after a three day teething fever and sleepless nights. Her fever broke yesterday and her tooth came in today! :0)

- Joel and I painted Hannah's 'new room' this morning/afternoon! It's a lovely shade of light purple that looks very becoming on her walls. After her room is all done we'll be moving Jael into Hannah's old room permanently...hopefully that move will go well and she'll adjust quickly!

OH! POOR HANNAH! A broken bone. Oh, I'm so sorry.

Please give her kisses from me.
